The Clubhouse at Augusta National Golf Club

It’s the eve of The Masters and golf fans around the world are making their pick as to who will win the tournament and slip on the Green Jacket on Sunday night.

This year, like most years, there are a ton of storylines as the guys get set to take on Augusta National. Here’s a look at some of my thoughts on the major storylines going into the 83rd playing of The Masters.

Will Patrick Reed be the first repeat champion since Tiger Woods?

2018 Masters Champion Patrick Reed

Nobody has successfully defended the title since Tiger Woods went back to back in 2001 & 2002 and I think we’ll have to wait a little while longer for our repeat champion. Patrick Reed has appeared in 10 tournaments so far in the 2018–19 season and has just one top-10 to show for it, which came in his first start back in October. He hasn't been playing well of late and has recently brought swing coach David Leadbetter in to take a look. With all that going on, and the fact that aside from his win last year his best finish in a Masters is a T22 in 2015, it’s hard to believe that Reed will successfully defend his title this year.

Can Tiger Woods grab major #15?
